Such A Booo-Tiful Debate

A ghost most notably absent,

a voice that no one heard,

the witch's voice the constant,

the questions patently absurd,

The discussion of our freedoms,

spoken only by the elf,

for what the cost of sheikdoms,

are lost within myself,

The werewolf howled and cried foul,

at the attacks on witch's brew,

whilst the mummy sat back with a growl,

and said " Here's what you must do,"

A knight strode forth with darkened candor,

assuring we could cope,

and that he was our national bander,

who was giving us some hope,

A unicorn a' championed,

the worker's right to pay,

all but drowned out as all were frightened,

when the witch began to say,

"Nothing's off the table!,"

shrilling screeching voice,

war drums to enable,

but she really had no choice,

"Impeach! Impeach!" cried the elf,

as the others looked away,

no other voice would lend itself,

to oppose the king who still holds sway,

One voice stood for reason,

but his message was a' hidin'

the devils' in the details,

and his time he is a' bidin,

So witchs' scowls, and werewolves' howls,

still brought silence from the ghost,

For all the other creatures' fouls,

this silence disturbs the most,

What say did we learn, or discover on last night?,

A'freezing yet still we burn, for freedom we will fight,

When the lever a'comes your turn, let's set this dance alight,

with sacrifice and return, to freedom's true birthright.................

A little Halloween ditty to confuse everyone, but not if you read what's in between the lines. Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone. Don't trick or treat! Have a party at your house, a neighbor's house, or somewhere where everyone knows everyone else. It's too dangerous in this day and age. Inspecting candy has become moot, as you may not notice the smallest needle hole that can go through the best wrapped candy package. All are welcome to email me their unwanted chocolate bars! The Crimes Of Hillary Clinton

Watching the MSM jump on the Hillary bandwagon for months now, not ever bringing up the subject of past accusations, past fines by the election commission, or anything that went on during her tenure as First Lady, I thought that maybe it was time that we all had a reality check on the darling about to be crowned queen of the United States by the media.

First, let me say that I don't support any of the candidates, except for maybe Ron Paul, but even that support is waning in light of recent revelations. Just the facts here, no spin.

Beginning with the about to break Peter Paul scandal, and the forthcoming movie that proves, in my mind, serious violations of both election laws and of ethical conduct, the one part of that tale that sticks out in my mind is the part of the movie in which Mrs. Clinton is on tape, with a roomful of witnesses, clearly involved in the upcoming fundraiser for her Senate race every step of the way. When the few media outlets tried to get to the bottom of what happened, there were denials from both Clintons that they even knew the man, which was an obvious lie. But let's dismiss that entire affair as a former business partner with an axe to grind.

Moving along, and bearing in mind that we are looking for a refreshing breath of honesty in American politics, here's a question that Hillary will not answer. In 1978, Clinton invested 1,000 dollars in cattle futures at the Chicago Mercantile exchange. In ten months time, she walked away with over 100,000 dollars, a sum so high, its a return of 10,000 per cent. Why won't she answer this question?

How does Mrs. Clinton explain away her fingerprints being on the missing billing records from the office of Vince Foster, who committed 'suicide', during the Whitewater investigation?

Were you aware that at the end of former President Clinton's term, that all of those 140 pardons he doled out like school yard candy were all the work of Hillary's brothers, Anthony and Hugh Rodham? Or that they actually brokered these deals for huge sums of money? How much did Hillary and Bill benefit from these deals? No answer.

David Rosen, Clinton's former campaign manager, has testified in court, under oath, that Mrs. Clinton knew all about 2 million dollars in illegal campaign contributions, but has consistently denied all knowledge of any such money.

Also, let's not forget the ethics violation complaints filed by Judicial Watch against Hillary since 2001. All but forgotten in the rush to crown this woman and continue the dynastic rule over our people, are the little things. Such as the 190,000 dollars worth of flatware, furniture, clothing, jewelry, etc., some of which came directly from Denise Rich, the wife of pardoned criminal, Marc Rich. These gifts received and accepted by Mrs. Clinton are clear violations of Senate rule 35.1, but why quibble about the small change?

Let's ask her about her current campaign and the money she's proudly receiving from lobbyists, Corporate interests, and hucksters. She doesn't like to talk about any of this, except to say that this is the way it's done in America. Oh? So, deceit, lying to the people, not showing up almost all of this month at her Senate job to vote on critical issues, breaking laws, sending goon squads after your detractors, defrauding the elderly, (see May 25th edition of the Corruption Chronicles), accepting millions of dollars in contributions from known criminals, (May 3rd edition, Corruption Chronicles) having a La Raza head as a major player in your campaign for President, clearly indicating that she could care less about the people's wishes on the subject of illegal immigration, and so many other things that add up to this being the most corrupt Democratic candidate in a slew of corrupt candidates, tells us to shun this woman and run the other way. Bush-Lite? Oh no. Not correct at all. This is Bush in female form and the only ones that should vote for her are the same people who want a continuation of the Bush agenda. If you'd like to know what's really going on in American politics, some good sources of information are Judicial Watch, (an equal opportunity political basher), The Corruption Chronicles, or the anti web pages of any of the candidates. They all have them, such as Hillary Watch, etc.

And so, we must decide who is telling the truth, as the people look fondly back to the relative prosperity of the 90's. But as we look back in time, don't fall for the rose colored glasses, soothing approach shucked out there by the Clinton campaign. Remember something called NAFTA, CAFATA, and other 'free trade' agreements signed into law by her husband. And her answer during the MSNBC debate in which she hemmed and hawed when asked about her policies on this should she become President. This push for Hillary is nothing more than a three card monte shill game being played by both the media and the corporations to sighingly placate the people with someone who looks like a duck, walks like a duck, but is really a rat. Can You Hear Us Now, Mr. Bush?

Today, in cities across the United States, from San Francisco, Seattle, and points west, all across the nation to the east coast cities of New York, and Boston, hundreds of thousands of people marched through the streets, demanding an end to the war in Iraq.

Curiously, of all the mainstream media on scene, the only one to report on the day's happenings so far is MSNBC. The rest of MSM is completely silent on an issue that brings back memories of the Vietnam era, and sends shudders down the spine of every neo-con in the land. The people are fed up.

Diverse groups, from both sides of the aisle came together today to end the slaughter of our military, on a day when newspapers across the nation report on the story of the brigade that was interviewed in Iraq, and who declared that Iraq wasn't worth another American soldier's life. Can you hear the people yet, Mr. Bush? Are you starting to get the old Nixonian/Johnson fear of a rising populace, who finally sees what you have done?

Also not reported by MSM, but carried in newspapers the world over, was the rapid departure of former SecDef. Donald Rumsfeld from France yesterday, after a human rights group filed charges against him, and according to French law, they were bound to investigate and possibly even arrest old Rummy. Yes. That's right. The war criminals aren't going to be able to go anywhere now, because they are so hated the world over, that everywhere they go, charges get filed against them for violations of the Geneva Convention.

Back to the protests. San Francisco papers are all abuzz about the protests, even citing a protest in small town Tennessee where weapons are made. Salt Lake City, Denver, Philly, all over Florida, the Dakotas. Can we sit and dismiss this as more 'liberal' protests? Not hardly, considering where half of these were held. Right in the heartland. Right smack dead in red state territory.

Mr. Bush, you've lost your base. What type of democracy do you think to spread when 70 per cent of your own people are screaming at you to listen, but you ignore them? Why, after 9/11, did you use an exact quote from Hitler himself, to try to ensure a nationalistic fervor among the people of our great nation? Because of profits for corporations? That's called fascism Mr. Bush, and you sir, are the biggest fascist in the world today, apart from your toad of a vice-president.

The people are speaking very loud and very clear. No more war. No bombing Iran. We know you won't listen, but history will record that you were the President who tried to lead the fascist take over of the United States.

Can that be the reason behind the big push to crown the queen? You know, maybe due to the fact that she and all of you think alike and are all just as corrupt together. Kind of a lesser of two evils type of arrangement? Not happening. The media can distort the truth all they want, but that camp is starting to worry, especially with the new revelations coming out about the election fraud, and the felonies committed by the Clinton campaign during her run for the Senate.

No more war, Mr. Bush. Take care of your own people, Mr. 'Compassionate Christian." Or the people will march until you do hear us. To everyone who marched today, and are still out in the streets, a big Salute! Batmanchester

Patriotism-Guest Blog From LilWitch

Patriotism

I see people putting aside their differences (most of which are pretty petty and unimportant anyway, in the grand scheme of things) to work together toward a common goal, which is saving what’s left of our country and the world while there is still time. We are on the brink of nuclear annihilation, brought there by a “president” who is a raging lunatic itching to pull the trigger on Armageddon, while spying on all of us in the name of protecting us from some shadowy boogeyman. He has been abetted by an American populace more interested in the tabloid news and the latest gizmo from Microsoft or Apple to see how close we are to losing not just our cherished freedoms but our very ability to survive on this planet. But now, I see, through the message boards, that the people are starting to wake up, to find their righteous anger and to begin to figure out how we can stop this lunatic before he destroys us all with a flash and a mushroom cloud. I see people from every side of the political spectrum setting aside those positions that divide us and seeking the center from which real action can be planned and achieved. I find myself, for the first time in a long time, proud to be an American, because people are waking up to the reality of what it actually means to be an American and how close we are to losing all of that.
That which divides us, makes us weak; that which unites us, makes us strong. When the river is rising and threatening to flood the valley, do you care what church the guy filling sandbags next to you goes to? Do you care who sleeps with whom or what their view is on Roe v. Wade? No! What you care about is whether you all can fill and stack enough sandbags to keep the waters from flooding your home, your farm, your business.
People sing the Star-Spangled Banner, without even thinking about the words or what those words mean. And it’s not even called the Star-Spangled Banner--it’s the Battle Hymn of the Republic. It was written as anthem, a celebration of those who rose to oppose the abuses of power by a leader who no longer cared about or served the interests of the people over whom he claimed authority. It was also a call to those in the future to do the same, to resist tyranny, in spite of the risks to one’s own personal safety.
We need to remember those words: the land of the free, and the home of the brave. We need to think about what they mean, to remember those who set the example for us to follow, and to honor them by following their example. Freedom isn’t something anyone can take away, it can only be surrendered by people too unconcerned or afraid to stand up to power and to join together to fight for the things they cherish. People who aren’t willing to fight for their freedom, to suffer and maybe die for it, don’t deserve it.
It’s heartbreaking and infuriating that the people who speak so loudly about our national anthem most often don’t even know all of the words to the first verse. They don’t even know that there are actually four verses, let alone know the words to those other four verses. Very few people know anything about the history of the song itself, that it was written during the War of 1812, (September 14, 1814, to be exact) that it’s original name was the “Defense of Fort McHenry,” or that adopted as our national anthem until March 3, 1931--116 years after it was written. They don’t know that the colors have meaning--red for courage, white for integrity, and blue for compassion. We need to come together and show the world that we still hold those values. LilWitch

Batmanchester note: For those of you who don't know all the words to the Star Spangled Banner, here they are:

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.O say, does that star-spangled banner yet waveO'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it waveO'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly sworeThat the havoc of war and the battle's confusionA home and a country should leave us no more?Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slaveFrom the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth waveO'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued landPraise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us as a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall waveO'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

The Anti-American Americans

As the fires raged out of control in Southern California, and continue to do so in some parts, a lot of people were online trying to relay information to people who had no other means of communication due to power outages, etc. Some, using only laptops, could get evacuation information from going to message boards, chat rooms, and mainstream media news sites. A lot of good people put in some very long hours, waiting for mainstream media to catch up, and took a break only when sufficient information was finally available on the mainstream web sites.

That being said, as all of the confusion, pain and suffering was taking place, some, who think of themselves as funny, but in reality are just cruel and inhuman, sought to disrupt what a lot of us were trying to do by breaking the chain of information flowing, and posting some of the sickest, twisted, inane drivel I'd ever seen in all of my time posting on message boards.

Some called for letting California burn to the ground as it's full of illegal immigrants. Others said we could do without the gays any way. The so called 'Christian' far right declared that this was God's punishment, in much the same manner that Jerry Falwell declared the same thing after 9/11. The outpouring of hatred and venom was so intense at some sites, that any right thinking person would have been sickened.

There used to be a time in our nation's history when Americans stood shoulder to shoulder during a catastrophe. There was a time when it didn't matter what your political beliefs were, and the color of your skin, or the amount of money you made. We could argue the finer points of issues until we were blue in the face, but at the end of the day, we'd go and have a beer together and agree to disagree, knowing that we'd always work something out.

But a new reality has taken hold of our country, and something dark and filthy has seeped into our national soul. I call it Anti-American Americanism, because that's basically what it amounts to. If you dare to disagree with the fanatics on either side of the aisle, left or right, you are a target for the vicious attacks that they can post anonymously online. The intent of these attacks is to silence dissent with their opinion, and most of these posters are little more than gutless charlatans, who couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag.

Yesterday though, with some saying the California fires were no big deal, even as we saw raging infernos rising high into the sky in the backdrop of downtown San Diego, and others really saying that we should allow these people to die and give them no help, because some are homosexual, or liberal, or for whatever reason, exposed these Anti-Americans for whom they truly are. The true 'fringe' element of American society. The true bottom of the barrel.

These people don't like the free flow of ideas, it doesn't fit into their Hitleresque view of the world. And so, knowing this, I suggest that if you are posting your thoughts on any message board, and you are attacked by these online freaks, do something that will drive them absolutely insane. Thank them for posting and for bumping your thread. Don't give in to the temptation to attack back, that's what they seek. Someone to argue with and to distract from the message that you're trying to deliver. Just say "Thanks for posting and bumping my thread." And be consistent about it. Every single time they attack, do the same thing, and eventually they'll move on to look for their fight elsewhere. But if we all do it, from all sides, then possibly we can use the Internet again as a meeting place, to truly discuss and dissect issues that we are faced with. We may even find that most Americans are really alike in much of their thinking, despite the wedges that these phony Americans try to place between us.

California: America loves you, and we stand with you in your time of need, despite the ravings of the few lunatics. You grow a great amount of our food in your state, the latest technological advances usually come from you guys, we know this. And deep down, we admire your radicalism, the movies that you make, and everything about your home is what makes this country so great. We mourn with you your losses, and stand ready to help you rebuild when all is finally over. Take heart and know that we are with you in spirit.

To the Anti-American Americans, if you hate so much about our country, and can not brook voices of dissent, why do you continue to live here? Batmanchester

Send EVERYTHING To California Mr. Bush!

As the fire storm over takes entire areas of San Diego, and we hear from people who live out there from online chat rooms, we find noww that this is a national emergency on scale with New Orleans' Katrina. There are now 130,000 homes being threatened by this blaze, people are packed tight in shelters, stadiums, and motels. Rivers of flame scream high into the air, stifling all breath, and covering entire counties in soot and ash. There is no way to even begin to contemplate the angony and the anguish being suffered by the people of Southern California. And although the media continues it'as focus on the homes of the rich and the famous, it is the ordinary Californian who needs help, and needs it NOW.

Mr. Bush has tentatively sent a F.E.M.A. 'exploratory team' out to California to see what can be done. See what can be done? Jesus jumping tadpoles, Mr. Bush. Are you that stupid? Did you learn nothing from Katrina? Get every asset we have that's not bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan, and start airlifting supplies out there right now. Not tomorrow. Not later. Right now. Get the trailers rolling now. Fly out the ice and water this time, don't send it cross country by truck.

And the rest of us can do our part. stop trying to call people in California. You're tying up precious phone lines that emergency crews need desperately. Send aid. Offer to house a family. Contact the Red Cross. Call the Governor's office in your home state to get aid moving from your state to California. Pressure local grocery chains and pharmacies to send food and medicine.

Because as it stands right now, at this minute, all you know what is breaking loose in Southern California, and the government is once again standing by with their thumb you know where. It's our duty to get people moving, and we can do so by firing off a few emails. To all of California, stay calm, the online communities will get the powers that be to send aid. To the President of the United States: Send EVERYTHING to California NOW! Batmanchester

The One Trillion Dollar War

Today, as will soon be announced by The White House and Congress, the President is expected to demand yet another 46 billion dollars for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This, on top of the request just made recently of almost 150 billion dollars, will bring the total amount to 200 billion dollars, give or take a billion or two. Why quibble right? Where this money will come from is anyone's guess, because guess what folks? We are dead broke. The Treasury Department's own people say so. We are so deep in debt, because of this unholy crusade in Iraq, that your grandchildren will be paying the bill, and possibly even their kids too.

This callous, cold, and unrelenting bankrupting of our nation has caused so much damage here at home, that one has to consider why Congress would even consider giving more money to the people who can't account for 12 billion dollars in cash that was flown into Baghdad Airport back in 2003. It just disappeared, remember? No one has any clue what happened to the money, and thanks to Paul Bremer, we'll never find out either. He was the genius who gave blanket immunity to American corporations that operate in Iraq. Ahhh, you'd forgotten about all of this hadn't you? Did I catch you taking a nap?

In this latest request, intended to perpetuate this boondoggle, there's little tidbits and perks for non military purposes also. Such as the State Department's dire need for 550 million bucks to fight drug trafficking in Mexico and Central America. What? Do you guys need more planes to help fly the stuff in or something? 375 million dollars will go to the West Bank and Gaza, on top of the money we've already given, that no one seems to be able to account for either. And then there's the 239 million dollars for 'diplomatic costs' in Iraq that the State Dept. says it needs, over and above the money already allocated for just this purpose.

Remember back in the Reagan days? Mrs. Reagan had a slogan that she had everyone saying to the children of America concerning the use of drugs. Comparing the use of drugs and the freewheeling spending of this 'conservative' administration, I say that Congress should use that slogan in the case for this new funding demand from the Insane Asylum on Pennsylvania Avenue. "Just say no."

Looked at another way, they try to trivialize the amount being spent. They concoct numbers to make it appear as though all they have spent so far is roughly 486 billion dollars, when the reality of the situation is that we have already spent closer to 3/4 of a trillion dollars. This almost 200 billion more would make this the 1 trillion dollar war, and guess who's footing the bill? Yep. You are. As our infrastructure falls apart, our borders lay wide open, vetoes for domestic programs are the norm, we shovel more and more money into this bottomless pit, as our own people here at home fight amongst each other. Our free nation is starting to become beholden to so many other countries, that we may as well change the name of our own nation to the Indebted States of America. No more money Mr. Bush. And Congress. Just say NO. Batmanchester

Bill Maher Decides What You Need To Hear

On HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher last night, Mr. Maher showed himself for the elitist phony that he truly is. After saying 9/11 Truth Movement members were all crazy and needed to be medicated, the movement responded by posting attacks online about Bill Maher. Sounds simple enough right? Not so.

Although I disagree with the tactics taken last night by members of the 9/11 Truth Movement, they certainly have the right to express their opinion, period. This is, after all, still the United States, and being such, you would think that this so called 'champion of free speech' would have responded by using the shouted questions from audience members to engage them in a debate, instead of acting like a petulant child, racing around the studio, cursing and swearing and declaring that these people needed their you know what kicked.

To add insult to injury, Mr. Maher then declared that "this is a debate show, but a debate between US", (meaning the panel), "you're just the audience, you know what audience means? It means you're here to listen."

Oh? Is that so Mr. Bill? Maybe you're starting to believe your own hyped up sense of importance, and would like to dictate to people what they need to know? No room for a debate from the audience? And as your adoring planted fans cheered on your childish antics, I had to turn the channel.

See Bill, you missed a golden and very sweet opportunity last night. You started the whole thing by disrespecting an entire groups', that counts in the millions, thoughts and feelings on a subject that still touches a raw nerve for every American. You had the chance to change, on the spot, the entire format of the show, and engage audience members with whom you disagree, in a debate. You could have shot down their 'conspiracy' theories in an instant, right Bill? Or would the only debate that you'd be willing to engage, be the ones that are carefully choreographed and tailor made for your show?

You outed yourself for the elitist that we have always known you to be Mr. Bill. You're just another one who thinks that Americans would be better off if they'd sit down and eat what they are spoon fed, whether it be from you, the Democrats, or the Republicans. I really hate to break it to you Mr. Bill, but we, the people of this country don't need elitists telling us to sit down and shut up, or you'll get your you know what kicked. We need open and honest debate, something that you proved that you're not willing or capable of doing.

I don't agree with the hard core elements of the 9/11 Truth Movement. But they have as much right to speak their minds as you do. Only not on your show of course, because then you'd have to actually back up your statements, and engage in a non scripted debate, something you're obviously not capable of doing. So, at least you know that I won't be watching your show any more, and hopefully no one else will either. Sometimes funny, good for some Bush bashing, but you know what Mr. Bill? You're part of the problem and no longer part of the solution. Batmanchester

When A President Goes Insane

Asked at a recent news conference about concerns that Vladmir Putin might suspend the Russian Constitution in order to remain in power, the President of the United States quipped " I've been planning that myself." Said in such a flippant manner that reporters returned nervous laughter, no one even pressed him on the issue and moved on to other questions. Oh that Bush! He's such a kidder. But the real scare came when he was asked about the Iranian nuclear program and he flippantly and implicitly threatened the entire world. Just three little words have headlines around the globe wondering if our President hasn't lost touch with reality altogether. World War Three.

No longer satisfied with threatening Iran about obtaining actual nuclear weapons, he now orders a sovereign nation that they aren't allowed to even have the knowledge of how to make one, or there's going to be a war. Horrified Americans are reacting on message boards and chat rooms across the country, as Russia has said they will help the Iranians finish their reactor despite U.S. objections. And warning the U.S. not to strike Iran, and former Soviet nations not to help us do so. To illustrate their point, the Russians announced a month long 'strategic exercise', wherein their long range bombers will be in the air over the Pacific at all times. In response, the U.S. bomber fleet is doing 'pre arranged' exercises itself.

Has Mr. Bush joined the Democrats down the road of insanity? The Democrats needlessly provoked an ally, and the President is needlessly provoking the Iranians and the Russians.

When asked recently about his veto of the health care for children bill, he answered with this stunning statement: "People have access to health care in America... you just go to an emergency room," in other words, let them eat cake. This, at a time when the CDC is warning of a super strain of staph infections, that are caught mostly where? In hospitals.

Showing his full arrogance, and his complete lack of understanding of the realities of what this nation is all about, he told the gathered reporters that they could ask him all the questions that they wanted, and he would feign interest, ."you know..act like I'm really thinkin' on it. Then, I'll smile and say, "That's a good question," and then I'll leave", he told them. And he did just that.

Are you awake yet? I know this subject matter is tedious and boring, because there's more pressing matters at hand, like Britney's custody battle, or Ellen's doggie, or wait, that's right. O.J. is back in court.

What you should and must understand is that the threats against Iran have nothing to due whatsoever with it's nuclear program. If it was such a big deal, why didn't we stop North Korea, Pakistan, India, Brazil, or Israel from obtaining them? No. What this is really all about is the same thing that the war in Iraq is all about, oil. The Iranians just did what Saddam Hussein did just before we decided that he had to go. They just signed major oil deals with Russia, China, North Korea, and Belarus and cut out Shell, BP, and threw the Deutsche Bank to the wolves. It wasn't long after Iraq did the same thing that they became a 'serious threat' to our national security.

World War Three, Mr. President? What do we do when our leaders have clearly fumbled the ball, the other team has it, and our team pulls out guns to stop them from scoring a touchdown?

Without meaning to terrify you, I humbly suggest that you start stocking up on food and water, blankets and medical supplies, make sure you have some camping gear, including flashlights, batteries, and a radio, because this madman WANTS to fulfill his destiny as the harbinger of Armageddon. The rest of the world already believes that our President has gone off the deep end, and Americans should no longer have any doubt either. Batmanchester

An Open Letter To The Democratic Party

To the Democratic Party Of the United States,
We, the people, or at least the majority of us, took on good faith the words you uttered during the campaign of 2006. Most of us voted for change in both the House and the Senate, with the understanding that you would end the war in Iraq, by cutting off the funding for this protracted engagement. We wanted a check on the Executive Branch, which had been allowed to run amok under the Republican controlled Congress. We believed your promises. We voted you into office, even in places that would normally have fallen to the Republicans, because of that belief that you would usher in changes. But you have failed us miserably.
Not only have you failed to deliver on your promises, but you now gone and actually made things worse. Your vote to condemn the genocide suffered by the Armenian people 90 years ago has placed our troops in jeopardy. The entire world knows what the Turkish government did back in those days. It's an accepted fact. In countries such as France, it is illegal to publicly deny the existence of this genocide. Why your party felt the need to rehash and open this old wound with Turkey's trigger finger so itchy is beyond the scope of comprehension, and a blunder that may cost us the use of military staging points in Turkey itself.
We have stood with you as you feebly attempted to end the war, but this latest blunder by your party may end up costing American lives. In the relative calm of Northern Iraq, you have just stirred the hornet's nest, and if the Turks invade, and slaughter ensues, the blood will be on your hands. What good will come of this resolution? How does this serve the interests of the people of the United States? What will you say if the Turks do invade, and the world demands that we stop them? Will we then have to fight with a NATO ally? Have you lost your collective minds?
It would seem to the people of our nation that your time would be better served looking after the people's business, and not wasting time by passing resolutions condemning political groups, or other nations for long past accounts.
We demanded change, but you have delivered more of the same. By perusing the Thomas Register, the people can also see that since Jan. 2008, when you officially took the reigns of power, you have voted time and again against the interests of your own people, and furthered the corporate agenda. You have not stopped this administration's corporate welfare giveaway, but actually voted to continue to further subsidize multi-nationals, using the people's money to do so. Your pandering to corporate interests in the form of allowing the continued influx of illegal labor into our nation is costing Americans their jobs, and their standard of living.
This being said, there needs to be at least one of the Democratic Presidential contenders to come out against this resolution, and to speak truth to power about the way that Congress is conducting the people's business, or you may find yourselves back home come next November.
We are sick of do nothing Congresses, or ones that speak platitudes to the people, but then laughingly do the exact opposite of what you were sent to Washington to do. Disregard the rising anger of the people at your own peril, as we grow weary of political posturing, game playing, bi-partisan divides, and outright fraud committed in the people's name. Should one American lose his or her life because of the action you have just taken, rest assured that you will be unemployed come next election. Batmanchester

Our Government Intended To Enslave Us All

As more and more information comes out about the giant telecom companies freely giving information to the Federal Government about your online viewing habits, access to your phone records and email accounts, and the fact that this program started in Feb. 2001, a full seven months before the attacks of 9/11, it should be obvious by now to anyone with a second grade education that this administration came into power with the intent of subjugating the American people.

There can no longer be any doubt that we have been lied to again and again by power mad zealots, as this story unfolds. Does anyone truly believe, that since they implemented this plan in Feb. 2001, that they didn't come into office with the plan already firmly in place? Does anyone think that they just decided to one day say" Hmm, let's spy on Americans."? No. This plan was well thought out and in place before the elections ever took place in Nov. 2000.

Some of us have been screaming from the rooftops for years now, exactly what these oil barons and captains of industry had planned for our nation. No one would ever listen. But now, this one thing, this one last trickle of insidiousness, should be the catalyst for the American people to rise as one and say "ENOUGH!"

Oil prices hit 88 dollars a barrel today, and it's still early. The plan is and always has been, to push the price to at least 100 dollars, thereby making gasoline costs eventually hit 5 to 6 dollars a gallon. Do you think we invaded Iraq to free anyone? Or to grab the oil for ourselves in order to make gas cheaper? Suckers. It was and is about suppressing the production of the oil in Iraq, thereby reducing supplies, and raising prices. Not angry yet? Wait. There's more.

We can lay the blame for all of this at the Republicans doorstep if we wish. It would be so easy. But the Democrats had just as much to do with what is going on today, and therefore must share the blame. Do any of you ever go to the Congressional web site, and read the daily Thomas Register? I know. It's boring. But if you want to know who voted for what, you'll find some shocking revelations there. You'll find the Dems vote against the interests of the American people time and time again. We expect it from the Republicans, but all of our elected officials are voting in the interests of Big Business, time and time again. And now they want to give immunity from prosecution to the telecom companies, who clearly broke the law, and violated our Constitutional rights, along with an administration run amok.

Does your pocketbook or wallet feel the squeeze yet from the trickle down economic plan that was disproved under the neo-con grandfather Reagan? Do you enjoy your fiat money system that has no value whatsoever and is based solely on debt? Oh. I'm sorry, I forgot. They just trotted out the Social Security scare headlines today to distract you from what's really going on.

We, as Americans, should look backwards in time to the words of Woodrow Wilson, who said that he feared he had caused the destruction of our nation by allowing the bankers and corporations to take over the issuing of our money. What money? They make it up out of thin air!

So, let's see. They were spying on us at a time when they all claimed that they didn't really give much thought to the terrorist threat. Before any attack happened. They have so enslaved us all to a debt ridden monetary system, that the chickens are now coming home to roost. Our bravest and finest are dying in a war that only enriches the corporations. Prices are skyrocketing, while wages are depressed. And now, to perpetuate that debt ridden society, they must come up with yet another war, in order to have the excuse to borrow yet again from the private banking entity known as the federal reserve. They have been whittling away at the Constitution. It doesn't serve the interests of the rich. They want to do away with your social safety net programs and force their brand of religion down your children's throats at school.

We, as a people, have been asleep at the switch for so long, and the mainstream media has been complicit in this corporate takeover of our nation, that we must wake up now to these facts, lest all will be lost, and we will be little more than slaves, with no rights whatsoever. We haven't even gone into outsourcing of even government jobs to overseas markets, the signing of treaties without Congressional approval, the invasion from south of the border gone unchecked, or the rise of corporate military capabilities.

Wake up America! Vote every single incumbent out of office next year. End the dynasty rule foisted on us by the corporate media. Have you not noticed that the candidate that raises the most money is declared the front runner? That's because they'll be the one with the most advertising dollars to spend. It doesn't matter if he or she will do the best job, it's always been about the money. See any middle class people running for President getting anything but 'fringe' coverage? We've been suckers for too long to the special interests of the few to the detriment of the whole. It's time to take our country back from those who intended to enslave not only us here at home, but the entire world if they are allowed to continue.

Today's trivia fact. The worst president in U.S. history is generally regarded to be Franklin Pierce, according to Presidential historians. Franklin Pierce is the great grandfather of none other than Barbara Bush. Starting to get the picture? Batmanchester

Who's Your Daddy?

One of the most reassuring sounds ever experienced by any webmaster who has, in the course of either building a new site, or revamping an old one, is the soothing voice from far away, telling you not to worry, they'll help you fix the mess that you have created. This voice, or voices in my case, as I had to call tech support no less than 10 times within a 24 hour period this weekend, is almost angelic compared to the usual gruff customer service treatment we Americans have become accustomed to when out shopping.

Without seeming to be advocating one business over another, nor plugging for any particular domain hoster, (well, maybe just a little), I relate this weekend's experience merely to thank the tech support people at GoDaddy for showing us what customer service is all about.

Tired of news sites that have pop up ads, mouse over ads, dazzle and razzle before you get to actually see what the news is, I decided to revive a site I had abandoned awhile back called Vigilant Watch. Shamelessly plugging now, without posting the link, I tell you it's name and that it's at a dot org address. I rebuilt the site with no ads, no pop ups, nothing but news feeds from as many sources that I could gather, and while not completed yet, it already is filled with a wealth of content, all gathered in one place.

But I digress. Having been a long time customer of Yahoo Domain Hosting, I first tried to build my site from there again. After a week long battle with their tech support team, they had still not figured out the problem I was having getting my pages published, let alone why I couldn't get into my own control panel. It was but last year that I wrote glowing reviews about Yahoo, and while I don't harbor any ill will towards Yahoo in general, needless to say, I got fed up on Saturday, and cancelled my plan.

What to do? What to do? Pondering my options, an online friend wrote to me about GoDaddy. Laughing out loud, I sighingly went to their site, and poked around. After a bit, I decided the price was right, and went ahead and set up an account. Within 10 minutes of trying to apply all I knew about site building that I had been practicing with Yahoo, I had made a complete wreckage of what I was trying to do. My hands trembled as thoughts raced through my head of the jumble I had just published online, and swiftly looking up the number for GoDaddy's tech team, I was pleased that they answered on the first ring. That was the first of many calls throughout the night, and on into Sunday. Each call was answered promptly, no half an hour waiting time here, and they listened patiently as I heart brokenly explained my latest feeble attempts gone awry.

No problem, here's what you do, they replied each time, taking my hand, and walking me step by step through each of their processes. Lo and behold, and Vigilant Watch is back online, better than before, sleek looking, etc. etc. etc.

My point is, I guess, is that when companies like Yahoo, for whom I still feel a certain loyalty, as I maintain yet another site over there, get too big, they sometimes forget that it's the customer who pays them, not the other way around. And as the conglomerates start to neglect their customers with longer wait times for tech support, or have no answers, and are actually starting to outsource their tech support to other countries, it has been a rewarding weekend for me personally to find out that there is still such a thing as an American company, that values it's customers. So to the web giants of today, I say this, look behind you as you stomp your way forth. There is at least one company coming fast on your heels shouting out gleefully " Who's Your Daddy Now"? New U.S. Civil War Already Underway

A new revolution is already taking place behind the scenes, with absolutely no coverage by the defense contractor controlled corporate media. Last week, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a meeting was held by groups of people from as divergent places as one could possibly imagine. They came from such 'liberal' bastions as Vermont and California. They came from the 'far right' strongholds of the deep south, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. They came from as far away as Alaska and Hawaii to debate the issue of certain states seceding from the United States.

Dismissed as 'crackpots', and far fringe 'loonies,' you should know that nothing is further from the truth. These are business leaders, farmers, shopkeepers, working men and women, who, fed up with the fascist takeover of our government by the corporations, have decided that they have had enough. They can no longer abide the lies and corruption of this administration, nor the push by the corporate controlled media to crown Queen Hillary, and have taken it upon themselves to answer the call of Patriotism, and save the people of their collective states from the tyranny that has been thrust upon us all.

Ballot initiatives are in the works as we speak, ones that again, are not spoken to by the corporate media. The fear and panic reverberating throughout corporate board rooms over this issue, is the root cause of the stepping up of the agenda they had all along, with the appointment of the current regime by the Supreme Court. Oil barons now speak of 100 dollar a barrel oil before the elections of next year. The NSA spying program has been accelerated to the point that they can now tap every phone in this country, access every email account, follow your DVR viewing habits, access your medical records, and follow every purchase you make, in order to better control you. The very idea of a collective awakening to what they themselves have termed as the new world order, causes them to quake with terror themselves.

We are all the victims of terrorism. But we are being terrorized by our own government, and not by some cave dwelling boogeyman in a land far away. We are stuck in the quagmire of Iraq and Afghanistan, with the monsters now beating the nationalistic war drums at Iran. Answer this for yourself and maybe you'll see one small part of the larger picture. Why are there 180,000 mercenaries fighting overseas, when there are only 162,000 American troops? And that's just Iraq. The media barely speaks of the corporate mercenaries fighting in Nigeria, or Angola, or other parts of the world. Congress is supposed to be the only entity in this nation that has the power to fund standing armies or navies, yet the corporations are steadily building up their mercenary forces to a degree that collectively, they can rival our own military. Why do you suppose that is?

They have pitted us one against another for years now. Gay marriage. Social Security. Medical coverage for all. Abortion. They trot these issues out whenever they feel the need to distract us, by getting us to fight amongst ourselves over petty issues. And while we do this, behind the scenes they work to create more so called 'free trade zones', which are nothing more than the tearing apart of the very fabric of our country. Outsourcing our jobs to slave labor countries, and whittling away at the quality of life for all Americans, save for the few at the very top. And when the issue or topic of the day dwindles off to obscurity for the moment, they trot out a 'terror' threat to frighten you back into submission. "Protect us Daddy!" We all cry from our living rooms, giving the giggling hyenas even more power to do as they please, while they laughingly pit us at each others throats once more over issues that have been with us all along, and we always resolved in a peaceful and coherent manner.

Yes, the stirrings of anger among the people have already been put in place. But what these new Patriots don't understand is that they are playing directly into the hands of these fascist bullies. They WANT the United States to cease to exist as a sovereign entity. They would love nothing more than to deal with a bunch of smaller Republics. The Republic of Vermont. The Compact of Southern States. The Nation of Alaska. In this manner, there would be no federal laws to prevent them from raping the resources of our people, and they could open up their 'free trade' zone from the tip of South America to the Artic. We would be a people divided, and we would stand no chance whatsoever in fending off the corporations. No. Although sympathetic to the anger that has started this movement in the first place, I have to disagree with the breaking up of our Nation. Together we stand and all that. Our forefathers and mothers fought to build a free nation. Generations of our finest have died to preserve it. We can not and must not allow this administration to achieve the corporate goal of the destruction of our country. Forget the left/right paradigm they have thrust into your lap and remember that we are Americans first, and as such, must do all that we can to stop this madness before it truly destroys and enslaves us all. Vote every incumbent out of office. Start your own version of MoveOn. Put down your remote controls, your iPods, and your Playstation controllers, and start researching and keeping track of who is doing what. Then fight back. Write and demand answers from every government agency, every corporate CEO, every single media outlet, and any one else who holds sway in our dying democracy. Together, right, left, middle, back, front, all of us, can save our country. Divided and distracted, they win and we all lose. Batmanchester
